Duties
The Pricing Technician provides analytical, process, and systems support to merchandising teams throughout the retail continuum; from working closely with vendors on the purchasing side of the business, to meeting the needs of customers on the retail side of the business.
Essential Job Functions
- Works collaboratively with customers, vendors, and the Ace hardware team.
- Conducts market research to develop competitive yet sustainable pricing guidelines.
- Monitors market trends, and adjusts pricing accordingly.
- Offers special prices to customers when appropriate.
- Manages the pricing software system.
- Performs competitor analysis.
- Creates reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives, and barriers.
- Trains and support student employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Desirable Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS PREFERRED
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1-2 years in retail.
- Prior experience with sales and cost management systems.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Database management experience
- Project management skills.
Compensation
Hourly; $16.00 - $19.75 per hour
