The department of nursing and health sciences is PUC’s largest department and is known for producing competent, caring, and experienced professionals in the fields of nursing, allied health, and emergency services. Students have access to leading healthcare hospitals in Northern California, with clinical experiences at facilities located in Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Lake counties. Armed with the skills and knowledge to help care for those in need, there are many rewarding options available to students interested in these areas of study.

BS Emergency Services, Paramedic

The BS in Emergency Services, Paramedic is a unique hybrid program that allows students to complete three years at PUC in the Emergency Services Program and then take their paramedic training at any accredited (CAAHEP) program to be awarded their BS degree from PUC.

The Institute of Medicine has set the goal of having 80% of U.S. nurses BSN-prepared by 2020. Already in the Bay Area, a number of facilities and organizations are only accepting applications from new grad nurses who hold BSN degrees.
