The department of nursing and emergency management is PUC’s largest department and is known for producing competent, caring, and experienced professionals in the fields of nursing, allied health, and emergency services. Students have access to leading healthcare hospitals in Northern California, with clinical experiences at facilities located in Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Lake counties. Armed with the skills and knowledge to help care for those in need, there are many rewarding options available to students interested in these areas of study.
BS Emergency Services, Paramedic
The BS in Emergency Services, Paramedic is a unique hybrid program that allows students to complete three years at PUC in the Emergency Services Program and then take their paramedic training at any accredited (CAAHEP) program to be awarded their BS degree from PUC.

PUC has landed another top ranking! Gradreports ranked PUC as one of the top 25 colleges that offer a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, based on median salary one year after graduation. The schools on the list boast median starting salaries in the $89,400-$110,300 range.

Be Employable
The Institute of Medicine has set the goal of having 80% of U.S. nurses BSN-prepared by 2020. Already in the Bay Area, a number of facilities and organizations are only accepting applications from new grad nurses who hold BSN degrees.

Passionate about people, she foresees involvement in the school, church, and community as she prepares to become a nurse who embodies the love of Christ.
First Set of PUC’s North Coast Nursing Students Graduate

In June, Pacific Union College proudly celebrated all 20 students in the first set of North Coast graduates, of whom 17 began the associate degree in nursing (ADN) and three enrolled in the licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to registered nurse (RN) track. Among the graduates, five students were from Clearlake, two from Fort Bragg, and the remaining from Ukiah and Willits.
PUC’s BSN Program Earns Top Marks after ACEN Accreditation Evaluation

Pacific Union College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has again demonstrated its excellence, earning continuing accreditation and 100% compliance from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) through 2033—the maximum length of time between evaluations.
