Membership Policies & Guidelines

Membership Eligibility

  • Students: Enrolled full- or part-time students are eligible.
  • Faculty/Staff: Full- and part-time college employees.
  • Spouses: With staff/faculty sponsorship and approval.
  • Community: Limited to open gym hours.  Must adhere to all college conduct policies.

Hours of Operation

Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM; 6 PM - 9 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM; 4 PM - 7 PM
Saturday: Closed for Sabbath observance and rest.
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM; 6 PM - 9 PM

Note: Hours may vary during breaks, holidays, or special events.

Membership Billing & Fees

  • Students: Access included in student activity fees.
  • Faculty/Staff: Employee benefit
  • Community: $60/month or $10/day pass

Payment Terms:

  • Membership fees must be paid by the 5th of each month.
  • A $5 late fee applies after 15 days of nonpayment.

Non-Payment Policy:
 Accounts overdue by 30+ days will be suspended until payment is resolved.

Cancellation Policy

Voluntary Cancellation:
Members may cancel by emailing rec@puc.edu or speaking with a desk worker; however, no refunds will be issued for the remainder of the month.

Institutional Dismissal or Withdrawal:
Students no longer enrolled will have gym access suspended immediately unless otherwise approved.
Community members who violate PUC’s code of conduct will have their membership suspended or revoked.

Facility Closure & Maintenance

We are committed to providing a safe and clean environment. The gym may be closed temporarily due to:

  • Scheduled Maintenance
  • Campus Holidays or Breaks
  • Weather or Emergency Conditions
  • Campus-wide Events

Closure Notice:

  • Posted at least 7 days in advance for planned closures.
  • Sent via campus-wide email and posted at the gym entrance.
  • Emergency closures communicated as soon as possible.

Code of Conduct

  • Modest and appropriate workout attire is required.
  • Profanity, harassment, and disrespectful behavior will result in disciplinary action.
  • Equipment must be wiped down after use.
  • No music with explicit lyrics may be played aloud.

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or revocation of membership privileges.

Safety & Liability

  • Members use facilities at their own risk.
  • All injuries or unsafe conditions must be reported immediately.
  • The college is not responsible for lost/stolen personal items.
