The goal of the health services clinic is to professionally guide each student towards their own optimum level of health and wellness while attending PUC and beyond. As our students develop physically, academically, socially, and spiritually, we have a daily opportunity to increase individual awareness with available resources, education, treatment and support. It is our ultimate goal to assist the population we serve in obtaining the necessary tools to make mature and independent lifestyle choices.

The Health Services clinic is a HIPPA- compliant department providing a readily available "safe zone" where confidential assessment and treatment is provided with a Christ-centered approach to care.

We recommend that you visit the student health plan site for detailed information regarding insurance coverage.

• Scheduled office visits by our on-site doctor or physician assistant
• Drop in visits by our experienced nursing staff
• First aid
• In-house clinical lab testing
• Minor surgical procedures
• Off-site referrals for diagnostic testing, medical specialists, or emergency care
• Over-the-counter medications with limited prescription medications and vaccines
• Community services referrals
• Physical therapy
• Nutritional counseling
• Preventative health screening and education

Class Excuses

We are often asked to write an excuse for missing class. We have found that most professors understand that anyone can have a short term illness from time to time. It is recommended that you contact them in their office or leave them a message. If they insist on verification of an illness please have them contact our office. We will need your permission to share any part of your medical condition with them including verification that you were seen in our office.
