  • Working knowledge of all types of construction materials
  • Working knowledge of building codes and local ordinances
  • Working well under pressure
  • Experience
    • Estimating/Bidding Job and Material Costs
    • Project Management
    • Ability to Read Blueprints / Plans

Facilities Management Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting other Tradesmen
  • Bidding on projects and jobs
  • Carpentry / Construction
  • Fabrication, installation, and repair of:
    • Cabinetry / Counters
    • Ceiling tiles
    • Concrete
    • Doors
    • Floor Coverings (carpet, tile, vinyl, wood)
    • Glass
    • Partitions
    • Roofs, Gutters, and Drains
    • Stairs
    • Wall coverings
    • Windows / window coverings
  • Following and enforcing safety regulations
  • Gathering bids from outside contractors / vendors Planning and prioritizing jobs & projects
  • Interpreting college policies and educating workers
  • Machine and equipment set-up and operation
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Researching and selecting products
  • Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality
  • Record keeping
  • Remodels
  • Supervision and assigning tasks to carpentry tradespersons
  • Supervision and management of contractors
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

Hourly; $19.48 - $27.37 (plus denominational benefits, depending upon qualifications and experience)
