Duties
The successful candidate will teach business courses with a primary focus on Accounting and a secondary focus on Finance. Specific course assignments will be determined by the faculty member’s qualifications and interests, as well as the evolving needs of the department. Pacific Union College places a strong emphasis on in-person instruction, meaningful student engagement, and active participation in campus life. Faculty are expected to provide academic advising for departmental majors, attend and contribute to departmental activities, participate in the College’s shared governance processes, and engage positively with the surrounding community.
Desirable Qualifications
Mission-Driven
Teaching experience is strongly preferred, particularly in-person instruction at the undergraduate or graduate level; experience with online education may also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to engage positively and collaboratively with students and colleagues in support of the Pacific Union College mission. A Ph.D., D.B.A., or ABD in Accounting or Finance is preferred, along with appropriate professional, teaching, research, or other demonstrated disciplinary credibility. In lieu of a terminal degree in Accounting, candidates with an MBA combined with active CPA licensure and significant, relevant professional experience will also be considered.
