Duties

Computer Skills:    

  • Working knowledge of computers, printers, & Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of databases
  • Skills necessary for utilizing our SchoolDude work order system

Certificates & Licenses:                  

Operator must maintain State of California Licenses:

  • Water Treatment Operator (T2)
  • Water Distribution Operator (D2)
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Grade II)
  • Backflow Prevention Tester, Specialist preferred
  • Class C Driver’s License

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:    

The duties below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

  • Plan and execute projects
  • Plan and manage improvements and upgrades to the Water and Wastewater Systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and plans
  • Collect water and wastewater samples, manage samples, and conduct analytical tests
  • Communicate with facilities team to address potential problems to avoid non-compliance
  • Comply with all company policies and safety rules
  • Full compliance with water treatment and wastewater reclamation requirements
  • Maintain all required water system and wastewater treatment monitoring and record readings daily
  • Maintain cleanliness of water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Monitor control panels, adjust valves and gates manually to regulate flows
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions thoroughly
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • Must become familiar with all plumbing, electrical and control systems to operate and shutdown systems
  • Observe and interpret meter and gauge readings, and use data to determine optimum operating levels
  • Perform all duties in a safe, responsible, and professional manner
  • Start and stop pumps, to control flows of water treatment and wastewater treatment
  • Thoroughly inspect the property daily, document and report any deficiencies found
  • Weed abatement using backpack sprayer, weed eater, and hand tools
  • Work with facilities tradesmen to learn, assist, and perform preventive maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:        

  • Attend Daily Morning Worship Meeting
  • Available to report for duty during emergency callbacks

Compensation

Hourly; Compensation based on education and experience: $30-$35
