Duties
Pacific Union College is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Staff Videographer to join our Marketing & Communication team. This position plays a key role in telling the story of PUC through engaging and high-quality video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of visual storytelling and be passionate about capturing and producing videos that reflect the spirit and mission of our campus.
- Film and edit promotional videos highlighting academic programs, campus life, spiritual life, and student/faculty stories.
- Record campus events such as worship services, student life events, graduation ceremonies, athletic events, and other key moments.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute creative video projects.
- Manage and maintain video production equipment and digital assets.
- Capture b-roll footage for general marketing purposes.
- Edit footage into polished pieces using professional video editing software.
- Add motion graphics, captions, transitions, and music as needed.
- Archive and organize footage for easy future use.
- Ensure all video content aligns with the college’s branding and messaging guidelines.
- Work within project timelines and adapt to shifting priorities or schedules.
Desirable Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating videography and editing skills.
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio recording gear, and lighting equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Ability to tell compelling stories visually, with a keen eye for composition and pacing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover events.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Pacific Union College and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Compensation
Hourly; $24; Commensurate upon degree and experience (plus denominational benefits based on qualifications and experience)
