Job Summary

The part-time Faculty Member in Communication is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in assigned communication courses and supporting student learning and academic success. The position teaches courses as assigned, maintains effective communication with students, assesses student performance, and contributes to a positive learning environment consistent with the mission of Pacific Union College.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective undergraduate instruction and support student learning.
  • Commitment to academic excellence, student mentorship, and the mission and values of Pacific Union College.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred.
  • Professional experience in communication, media, journalism, public relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience using instructional technology and learning management systems preferred.

Compensation

Hourly; Placement of the new hire within the salary pay grade is dependent on qualifications and professional teaching experience. The pay grade assigned to this position ranges from $28.27 - $37.80 hourly. Benefits: May include retirement, paid time off, and more.
