Duties
- Handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature and function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Manage PUC’s and HME’s insurance policies and work with Administration and departments to reduce liabilities resulting in lower premiums.
- Assist HR Manager and Executive Director with employee benefit selection process and implementation.
- Address all employee benefit questions and requests.
- Educate employees as necessary on options available to them including Medicare resources.
- Assist in the administration of the Varsity Sports Health Plan and works with the athletic department and the varsity athletes to include claims resolution, change reporting, invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to the student athlete.
- Responsible for all vehicle registration and insurance documents and all driver’s clearances for use of PUC vehicles. Organize pull notices for drivers.
- Oversee all insurance plans for PUC including submission of claims, processing of invoices, and management of all day-to-day operations of risk management.
- Administer the workers’ compensation plan and handle all claims.
- Willingness to become a Notary in the State of California.
- Oversee the LiveScan background check process for all employees and volunteers.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Compensation
Hourly; $21.93 to $24.86 Commensurate upon degree and experience (plus denominational benefits depending upon qualifications and experience)
