Duties

Pacific Union College Aviation Program seeks a full-time faculty/staff member to join its growing team. This is a full-time position with benefits and will be answerable to the Dean of School, Executive Director of Financial Administration, and/or the Aviation Leadership team, commensurate with duties or responsibilities.

This is a high energy position that requires a total commitment to the vision of the pioneering founders of Adventist mission. Most desirable are a demonstrated spiritual maturity and a willingness to surrender all for our team with a clear commitment to mentor men and women for lives of unselfish service.

Essential Functions

  • Chief Flight Instructor Airplane and/or Glider (FAR§141.35(d) refers)
  • Aviation class lecturer
  • Simulator Technician / Center of Excellence Director / Aviation Museum Curator
  • Airport Manager
  • Maintenance Director
  • Spiritual and community service growth coordinator
  • Development / Alumni events and relationship building

Desirable Qualifications

Education

Relevant two- or four-year degree or higher, along with relevant FAA certification where indicated.

Physical Demands:  Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May need to lift items up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.

Job Conditions: Frequent travel, computer use, unscheduled interruptions, and speaking, reading, and understanding English. Occasional: working more than 40 hours/week, weekend work, on-call/after-hours work, fast-paced work, and driving/operating machinery or vehicles.

Compensation
