Music Festival

Coming February 24–27, 2027

Every two years, high school musicians from across the region come together on our campus for a one-of-a-kind music experience. From February 24–27, 2027, students will immerse themselves in intensive rehearsals with our outstanding faculty, working toward a culminating concert showcasing their growth in choir, wind ensemble, and orchestra.

Between rehearsals, they’ll connect with college students, meet professors, and explore campus life to get a feel for what it’s like to study at PUC. Along the way, they’ll also join in fun social events—like a swim night, PJ and pizza party, karaoke, or a campus scavenger hunt—building friendships and memories that last long after the final performance.

It’s an inspiring week that combines serious music-making with the joy of discovery, community, and creativity. We can’t wait to see you in 2027!

Dates

PUC Music Festival 2027 begins Wednesday, February 24, and concludes with Festival Night on Saturday, February 27. Note that there is a Festival party for the students following the concert on Saturday night.

Registration

The deadline for registration is Friday, January 8, 2027. The registration form and the required spreadsheet template will be available on this page by October 1, 2026.

Cost

Registration fees are as follows: $150/student, $100/chaperone, and $0/music teacher.

Housing

All attendees (including all teachers and chaperones) will be staying in residence halls on the PUC campus. This is a requirement for the duration of the festival. Note, too, that each school is required to bring at least one male and one female chaperone. This is non-negotiable.

Ensembles

Participating ensembles are orchestra, choir, and wind ensemble (no handbells). Students must choose one ensemble they will be part of for the entire festival.

Music

A repertoire list for the 2027 Festival will be sent to you via email by October 1, 2026. If you do not already own the music on the list, please acquire enough copies for your musicians prior to Music Festival, and plan to bring the music with you for your ensembles. We encourage all of you to do at least a little rehearsing with your students on these pieces prior to the festival, so rehearsals can be as smooth and productive as possible.

Clinicians

Our clinicians for this festival are as follows:

Choir - Ronnie Zanella, choral director for PUC

Orchestra - Rachelle Berthelsen Davis, strings director for PUC

Wind Ensemble - Kristian Leukert, wind ensemble director for PUC

Activities

Our goal is not just to give students a taste of music at PUC, but to also show them the full PUC experience. We also know hours of endless rehearsal isn’t good for energy levels, bodies, or sanity, so we also arrange a variety of activities highlighting various other areas on the PUC campus, including, but not limited to: athletics, sciences, spiritual life, student life, and the arts.
