Missions & Chaplain Services

Serve With Love

Nearly a decade ago, PUC students traveled to Fiji to help with an evangelistic campaign. In the years since, students have returned to build Mana Island SDA School, teach classes, and provide much-needed supplies and technology. But these annual trips mean even more than that. For PUC, serving those in Mana is about commitment, relationships, and love.

Previous Mission Trips

Fiji Mission Trip March 24th - April 4th 2023

The Fiji Mission Trip started in 2014 when PUC was invited by Share Him to do an evangelistic campaign in Nadi, Fiji. After that trip, we were invited to come and help Mana Island SDA school. The following year we sent four student missionaries to teach at Mana Island and built the first house for SMs in Mana. Our last trip to Mana Island was in 2019, before the pandemic- this will be our first trip back since then. We have a group of nursing and biology students and a team of nurses, and Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Perry will be joining.

We also have a team of doctors and dentists from Brazil that will support us during the trip. PUC has a huge impact on Mana island, and we are excited to come back and help our community over there during spring break. We plan to take some laptop computers for establishing a computer lab at the school, and some snorkeling gear to donate to the school so the students can go snorkeling. In 2019, we delivered 10 sets of snorkeling gear to the school and will bring new snorkeling equipment to replace or add to theirs.

Kenya Mission Trip June 19th - June 28th 2023

The school provides education and care to Masai girls whose families force them into child marriages. We plan to paint school buildings and provide needed supplies. We will stay at Tumani Resort Hotel. We will also spend a day on the Safari exploring the Amboseli National Park, and seeing habitats ranging from Sulphur Springs to the Savannah, as well as buffalo, mongoose, & elephant wildlife. Academic credit for the tour is available by registering for GNST 296L Service Learning.
