Summer Camp Meeting - Connect Member

The CONNECT Ministry Staff Coordinator will select student workers to serve on the Youth Tent Worship Team for the Summer Camp Meetings. The team will consist of up to four (4) student workers who will serve collaboratively across multiple roles, based on skills and ministry needs. Final team size and composition will be determined based on student availability and ministry needs.
This role is ministry‑focused in nature and includes a stipend‑supported student worker position coordinated through the Admissions Department. Student workers may serve at one camp meeting or both, depending on availability and final assignment.
Camp meetings include:
Soquel Camp Meeting: July 9–19, 2026
Redwood Camp Meeting: July 26–August 2, 2026
2. Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the student worker is to support and lead the praise and worship portions of Youth Tent programming. This includes, but is not limited to:
Worship Leading or supporting vocals
Playing musical instruments
Assisting with worship flow and transitions
Supporting basic A/V needs related to worship (as applicable)
Participating in rehearsals, sound checks, and team coordination
Student workers will serve during both morning and evening Youth Tent sessions, including preparation, participation, and wrap‑up as required for each program.
3. Secondary Responsibilities
In addition to musical leadership, student workers are expected to assist with general Youth Tent programming as needed. These responsibilities are secondary to the music role and may include:
Supporting icebreakers or group activities
Assisting with testimonies or program transitions
Engaging in peer mentoring and student encouragement
Helping create a welcoming and respectful environment for youth participants
Secondary responsibilities are intended to support the overall ministry experience and will be assigned at the discretion of Youth Tent leadership.
Student workers will receive around $100 per day for each approved day of service.
4. Daily compensation reflects approximately six (6) hours of clocked work per day, which includes:
Program participation
Rehearsals and sound checks
Preparation and coordination time
Compensation will be processed in accordance with Pacific Union College student employment policies.
In addition:
Meals will be provided during the camp meeting period.
Students should be prepared for tent camping accommodations, depending on the camp meeting location.
