What is FUSION
FUSION is Pacific Union College's First-Year Experience program designed to help new students transition smoothly into college life. As a FUSION Leader, you'll serve as a mentor, guide, and community builder for freshmen students during Orientation Week and throughout the academic year.
Timeline
- Application Due: Wednesday, June 4, 2025
- Training Begins: Sunday, September 14, 2025
- FUSION Orientation: September 17–21, 2025
- Monthly Commitment: 3–5 hours during Fall Quarter 2025
Qualifications
- Returning, full-time PUC student (12+ credits/quarter)
- Good academic and conduct standing (2.5+ GPA)
- Professionalism in working with faculty, staff, and students
- Positive attitude and team spirit
- Respect for diversity and sensitivity to first-year student concerns
- Available for all training and orientation dates
- Own transportation to orientation is required
- Uphold PUC’s Adventist mission and Code of Conduct
Primary Responsibilities
- Mentor and support first-year students socially, academically, and spiritually
- Assist with the planning and execution of Orientation Week
- Lead a group in GNST-101: Frontiers
- Attend trainings, group meetings, and provide check-ins, Fall quarter
- Promote PUC’s policies and resources in a professional way
- Be an engaged, helpful, and proactive leader in the campus community
