What is FUSION

FUSION is Pacific Union College's First-Year Experience program designed to help new students transition smoothly into college life. As a FUSION Leader, you'll serve as a mentor, guide, and community builder for freshmen students during Orientation Week and throughout the academic year.

Timeline

  • Application Due: Wednesday, June 4, 2025
  • Training Begins: Sunday, September 14, 2025
  • FUSION Orientation: September 17–21, 2025
  • Monthly Commitment: 3–5 hours during Fall Quarter 2025

Qualifications

  • Returning, full-time PUC student (12+ credits/quarter)
  • Good academic and conduct standing (2.5+ GPA)
  • Professionalism in working with faculty, staff, and students
  • Positive attitude and team spirit
  • Respect for diversity and sensitivity to first-year student concerns
  • Available for all training and orientation dates
  • Own transportation to orientation is required
  • Uphold PUC’s Adventist mission and Code of Conduct

Primary Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support first-year students socially, academically, and spiritually
  • Assist with the planning and execution of Orientation Week
  • Lead a group in GNST-101: Frontiers
  • Attend trainings, group meetings, and provide check-ins, Fall quarter
  • Promote PUC’s policies and resources in a professional way
  • Be an engaged, helpful, and proactive leader in the campus community
