Facilities Management – The facilities management department is now hiring. Various areas include: Co-Generation Plant, Plumbing, Sign Shop, Trash/Recycle Plant, Waste Water, and Welding. Students must be very dependable, hard-working and able to work with minimal supervision once training is completed. A current DL (with a clear driving record) is required to successfully perform the assigned duties. Students must be able to work a minimum of eight hours per week and two hours per shift. Landscape Department – Landscaping position available which will include work consisting of maintaining campus flowers, irrigation system maintenance and repair, cleaning up litter, replacing shrubs and trees, and re-landscaping. Hours are at least 8 hours per week, shifts of 2 or more hours at a time. Shifts are between 7:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 6:00AM-12:00AM on Fridays. Housing Department- The Housing Department is seeking student employees to fill student positions. Requirements include a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Experience in janitorial, painting, yard work, and possibly skilled labor in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is preferred but not required. Academic Service-Learning – Student opening as Service-Learning Coordinator Assistant. Position would start the first week of Fall Quarter, wage rate is hourly, hours would be about ten per week. Duties include but are not limited to: managing online service-learning database, coordinating transportation and drivers, collecting and recording quarterly service-learning hours, gathering content for annual newsletter, potentially driving for activities, recruiting and coordinating volunteers for Angwin to Angwish and other service-learning oriented events. Cogen/Heating Plant Position – The facilities management department is looking for students who can work at least ten hours a week, are responsible and willing to learn, can work during the school year and during breaks, has a valid CA driver’s license with a clear driving record, and is willing to be trained in stream line/heating/electrical systems. Public Safety- Accepting applications from students interested in working as either a Communications Dispatcher and/or Campus Patrol Officer. These are continuous filling/recruitment positions. Although upperclassmen are preferred, all applications can be accepted and students can be employed from all grade levels.
