Housing Department (summer job) - The Housing Department is in need of 2 or 3 student workers for the summer. The positions are either full-time or part-time and will work around summer classes if needed. Driver’s license required. Experience is not mandatory, but preferred. Job responsibilities include cleaning, painting, possible plumbing, electrical, and misc. home repair. Facilities Department - The Facilities Department is looking to employ hard-working students for the summer. There are jobs available at our Facilities Management, Landscape, and Land Management Departments. Please contact the Facilities Management front office at fmd@puc.edu for an application.

Athletic Department - looking for non-student athlete underclassmen/women to be part of our team.  The job requirements are as follows: Need to be available for all home games, has some basic knowledge of any of the these three sports Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, willing to work in any of the game staff positions needing coverage, and dependable.  Some of the various jobs are: Stat keepers, scoreboard, lines judge, announcer, floor wipers, ball shaggers and concessions.  There will be a training date scheduled to learn the various positions. Public Safety - (707.965.6551) is accepting applications from students interested in working as either a Communications Dispatcher and/or Campus Patrol Officer. These are continuous filling/recruitment positions. Although upperclassmen are preferred, all applications can be accepted and students can be employed from all grade levels. Off-Campus Employment

Pali Instructors Pali Institute is seeking enthusiastic educators with a strong work ethic to join our outdoor education family. We are a residential science camp located in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California. We provide education in leadership, outdoor education and science to kids ranging from 4th grad through 12th grade. Most schools will visit for a 3 day or 5 day program. Our instructors teach during the day and supervise a cabin of kids during meals, free time and overnight. This is a great position for recent graduates who would like to get a feel for teaching, while exploring the wonders of southern California. Employment is seasonal. We are currently hiring for the fall seasons, which runs mid-August through mid-December. The work is definitely rigorous, a typical week will involve roughly 60 hours of work. Pay is a daily rate and caries depending on whether staff are also supervising a cabin or not. Most weeks instructors average $300. We are also hiring registered nurses. Some qualifications include that applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree, extensive experience in the camping and/or experiential education fields, be comfortable and confident supervising and teaching students in large and small groups, must pass a federal and state background check, and have First Aid/CPR certification. It is a full-time seasonal position with hours schedule according to group attendance and additional duties as assigned. Salary is $75 per day in cabin or $55 during smaller weeks when you may live out of cabin. Administrative Assistant I The Napa County Office of Education is looking for and Administrative Assistant I. The Administrative Assistant I represents the first level in a secretarial career path that is primarily used for support in areas other than school sites. Performs secretarial and administrative support duties, including (but not limited to) transcribing of technical notes, composing of routine documents, administration of office routines and systems, processing of financial transactions, and reception. Early Childhood Education Assistant II The Napa Preschool Program is looking for someone who has a completion of 9 college units in early childhood education. The ECE Assistant II is the second level of a career path for instruction support specifically assigned to pre-kindergarten children. Assists one or more early childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playground at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Technology Specialist Napa County Office of Education is looking for someone who has had 2 years of experience supporting end users in desktop and/or mobile software applications in a technical and customer service capacity. The Technology Specialist position requires technical knowledge of computer application software and basic technical proficiency in operating and deploying Operating Systems, including the relationship and usage of various input and output components, business and education support software, and terminology. Requires a working knowledge of operating systems and a dedication to a high level of customer service with regard to software troubleshooting and end user and vender interaction. Director of Music – Napa Valley Lutheran Church is looking for a Director of Music to plan and coordinate the entire music program. The director would be responsible for coordinating organists pianists, worship recruiting music ministry participants, mange weekly meetings, choose music, serve as song leader, and more. Qualifications for this position include: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in music, church music, or other related area, knowledge or willingness to learn Lutheran theology, competency in vocal performance and instructions, demonstrated skill and competency in keyboard/organ/piano, experience and competency with directing, encouraging and motivating volunteer choirs and bands of all ages. This is a part-time position averaging about 8 hours/week. Sea Kayak Instructor - Sea kayak instructor for 5 day instructional courses in our day camp program for students ages 9 & 10, and 11-15. A Background in sea kayaking preferred but willing to train a river kayaker with desire and good skills.  Teach entry and exit skills, paddling strokes, assisted and self-rescue techniques, tides and currents, and navigation skills. There are 2 instructors needed. The wage is $10/hr with an average of 31 hrs per week, 9am-3pm daily. Applicant must apply for housing during the summer. The location is Deception Pass State Park, Washington State. The dates of employment are between June 29-August 21 (end date is flexible). PUC Elementary School

1. A child care provider for the 2015 Summer Enrichment Program.

Job involves supervising up to twelve elementary-aged children at the Elementary School gym, on local field trips, and daily trips to the PUC pool. Also includes planning and organizing summer learning and enrichment activities for children ranging in age from 6 to 12 (e.g. cooking, gardening, art, academic skill practice, creative play, music, physical activity). Dates: June 8-August 7. Days: M-Fr. Hours: 3-5 per day, possibly more if available. Program Hours: 7:30AM-5:30PM M-TH & Fr. 7:30-4:30

Job involves supervising elementary-aged children at the Elementary School after school.

Care Giver, Psychiatric Technician, Counselor Position Pacifica Pain Management Services in Napa provides detoxification from prescription narcotics, functional restoration, and substance dependence counseling services to severe, chronic pain syndromes. Our multidisciplinary team has positions open which requires experience working in a health care environment.
