Student Accounting PositionThere is a student accounting position available for the summer with potential to continue during the school year.  Job will include reconciliations, journal entries, spreadsheets, data entry and filing among other things. Nursing & Health Sciences The Nursing & Health Sciences Department is looking for a student (2 positions available) starting Fall 2017 (Freshman or Sophomore preferred). Hours are flexible and change from quarter to quarter. Positions are not guaranteed from quarter to quarter. Must have good professional communication, writing and computer skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Duties include answering phones, typing, filing, projects, etc. Must be punctual when scheduled to work. Public Safety – Now hiring a Student Communications Dispatcher. The dispatcher is responsible for general operation of PUC’s 24-hour Communications Center. The position maintains responsibility for the control and direction of incoming and outgoing telephone calls, visitor information, coordination of emergency conditions, and the dispatch of security and ambulance personnel. The job starts in the summer and will continue all year round. Summer hours are eight hour shifts including nights and weekends. School year hours are four hour shifts during the week and eight hour shifts on the weekends. Work schedule is created around dispatcher’s class schedule. PacificQuest Summer Camp – PacificQuest, a 5-day summer camp for gifted junior high students who spend the week attending college, July 9-14. Boy’s and Girl’s Counselors - PacificQuest is looking for one qualified girl’s counselor and one qualified boy’s counselor. Counselors are responsible for the direct supervision of 8-12 PacificQuest students who stay in the dorm rooms.  Stipend starts at $450. The pay increases for counselors who work with PacificQuest for more than one summer. Meal and dorm expenses for the week are also covered.

Camp Worship Leader – Looking to hire someone to conduct a 20-min worship talk Mon-Thurs mornings at 7:30am and Friday at 9am. Stipend is $100 ($150 if you can also do songs). Meals are included when the Camp Worship Leader joins the PacificQuest students at mealtimes.

LifeguardsLifeguards and swimming instructors are needed for the summer at the PUC Pool for 10-25 hours a week for $11-$13 an hour for lifeguards and $13-$15 an hour for WSI Instructors. Tutors Apply for a tutoring job if you are at least a sophomore, responsible and dependable, can explain concepts well to peers, and excel in one (or more) of these subject areas:  Biology, Chemistry/Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Writing Lab/English, Nutrition, Microbiology, all Nursing classes, Physics, Statistics, History, Spanish/Modern Languages. Facilities Management­ ­– The facilities management department is now hiring. Various areas include Co-Generation Plant, Plumbing, Sign Shop, Trash/Recycle Plant, Waste Water, and Welding. Students must be dependable, hardworking, and able to work with minimal supervision once training is complete. A current driver’s license (with a clear driving record) is required to perform the assigned duties. Students must be able to work a minimum of eight hours per week and two hours per shift. Landscape Department A landscaping position is available. Job duties would include maintaining campus flowers, irrigation system maintenance and repair, cleaning up litter, replacing shrubs and trees, and re-landscaping. Students must be able to work a minimum of eight hours per week and two hours per shift. Shifts are 7:30AM-12PM and 1PM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday and 6AM-12PM on Fridays. Cogen/Heating Plant Position The facilities management department is looking for students who can work at least ten hours a week, are responsible and willing to learn, can work during the school year and during breaks, have a valid CA driver’s license with a clear driving record, and are willing to be trained in steam line/heating/electrical systems. Responsibilities will include on duty monitoring of Co-gen operations, answering phones and radios, and relaying messages over the phone and/or radio. Warehouse OperatorA wine storage and distribution company in American Canyon is looking for a warehouse operator. The warehouse operator would perform operational functions required for all aspects of shipping, receiving, and accurate inventory in the warehouse while putting a priority on the care, custody, and control of the customers’ product. One or two years of experience in warehousing or inventory is preferred, must be able to manage time to meet required deadlines and to multi-task. Must have strong calculative, analytical, and communication skills. Should be able to operate warehouse machinery including but not limited to:  pallet jack, order picker, fork-lift, and reach truck; must also be able to operate computer, printer, phone, and calculator. Working conditions are in a refrigerated environment of 50-55 degrees. Will earn a competitive salary, commensurate with experience. Wydown Hotel – Looking for someone to work overnight shifts at our guest services desk. The available shifts are from 11pm-6am Saturday-Sunday, and the person will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week. CrossWalk ChurchCrossWalk Church in Napa is looking for a student to be the lead teacher for their Wee Care classroom on Sunday mornings. They are looking for a student who loves infants through preschoolers and also wants to change the world. The teacher will be required to provide high quality care and lead a provided age-appropriate lesson/craft. Professional yet warm, the teacher not only impacts the children they lead, but also their parents by providing high quality care. The position is three hours each Sunday. The teacher is expected to arrive at 8:45 AM on Sunday morning to ensure their room is prepared for the program. Attendance at the 9:00 AM service is required. From 9:45 – 11:30 AM, the teacher will welcome children and parents, lead children through the program and craft, and inform parents (via provided flyer) about what the children learned and also share any concerns they may have. Greeter-  The Greeter meets customers at our entrances/exits and directs guests in the tasting room to tasting bars, correct areas to check in for tours and obtain General Admission tickets, find parking, rest rooms and provide information on the general area, services available to them and our grounds.  The greeter should have a background in customer service and be comfortable multi-tasking.  $12/ hr starting.  Times needed- Weekends, holidays year round and weekdays May-September.

Cashier/ Reservation Assistant- The Cashier/Reservation Assistant receives payment for goods, makes change, handles cash register tasks, assists customers with their orders, and assists in other duties as directed including inventory, pricing, stocking goods, etc.  The cashier should have a background in customer service and is comfortable multi-tasking. While working in the Castaldo the Cashier/Reservationist is responsible for taking telephone reservations and booking tours and tastings for the winery as well as checking people in and accepting payment for their tours. $14/hr Starting. Times needed- Weekends, holidays, and some weekdays year round.

Accounting Intern – Ganze and Company, a long time respected CPA firm in Napa, is looking for an Accounting Intern. The student filling this position will handle a range of important duties. These include:   learning accounting software by assisting in monthly financial statement preparation, learning the bank statement reconciliation process on a monthly basis through online banking software, learning other balance sheet account reconciliations and posting monthly accrual entries, understanding how generally accepted accounting principles and practices are integrated into day-to-day business environment, assisting with preparation of annual tax returns, and completing special projects as needed and other duties assigned. Applicants must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate with a major in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting; proficient in Microsoft Office applications, attention to detail, the ability to multitask and excellent communication skills are essential to this position, and ability to dedicate 20-30 hours per week between May and August. Bookkeeper and Legal Billing – Seeking help with legal billing and some bookkeeping for a law practice operating in a residence in Angwin.
