Public Safety - (707.965.6551) is accepting applications from students interested in working as either a Communications Dispatcher and/or Campus Patrol Officer. These are continuous filing/recruitment positions. Although upperclassmen are preferred, all applications will be accepted and students can be employed from all grade levels. Public Safety does perform a background review on all applicants, with specific personal traits expected to include: dependable, reliable, ethical, responsible, and hardworking. If interested, contact Public Safety for a student employment application and relevant job description information on the different positions. Public Safety's business hours are 8am—4pm, Monday through Friday.
Facilities Management Department (FMD): Seeking hard-working students to work for the summer. The department covers all maintenance areas on campus including: Carpentry, Vehicle Mechanics, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, Signs, Locks, Water Treatment, HVAC, Painting, Land Management (Farming), and Waste Management. Loma Linda University - CAPS office has received a one-year grant through the Corporation for National and Community Service Office (CNCS) for two (2) full-time AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members. AmeriCorps is the domestic version of the Peace Corps. This is the first time LLU has received AmeriCorps volunteers. VISTAs are provided a modest living allowance through CNCS. We have the freedom to recruit for these positions how we best see fit. We are reaching out to our sister Universities and Colleges so that they can promote it to their recent graduates. Angwin Resident - seeking a responsible student who has reliable transportation. Must be willing and able to drive my two teenagers to St. Helena High School 3 days a week. Must be ready to leave at 7:40am (they start school at 8:15am), and able to pick up kids from school at 6p or 7pm (based on sports schedule) 2 or 3 days a week. St. Helena Teen Center - is seeking a positive, responsible role-model age 19+ to provide leadership & supervision for our free middle school afternoon drop-in program. Education majors, nursing majors, and students with previous experience working with youth are encouraged to apply. This position requires strong leadership skills and cooperative, caring communication. Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired. Pay will be between $10 and $14/hr. depending experience. St. Helena Teen Center is open Monday through Thursday 3:00pm - 6:00pm and Fridays 3:00pm - 5:30pm, but additional summer hours available.
