Tutors – Apply for a tutoring job if you are at least a sophomore, responsible and dependable, can explain concepts well to peers, and excel in one (or more) of these subject areas: Biology, Chemistry/Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Writing Lab/English, Nutrition, Microbiology, all Nursing classes, Physics, Statistics, History, Spanish/Modern Languages. Facilities Management – The facilities management department is now hiring. Various areas include: Co-Generation Plant, Plumbing, Sign Shop, Trash/Recycle Plant, Waste Water, and Welding. Students must be dependable, hardworking, and able to work with minimal supervision once training is complete. A current driver’s license (with a clear driving record) is required to perform the assigned duties. Students must be able to work a minimum of eight hours per week and two hours per shift. Landscape Department – A landscaping position is available. Job duties would include: maintaining campus flowers, irrigation system maintenance and repair, cleaning up litter, replacing shrubs and trees, and re-landscaping. Students must be able to work a minimum of eight hours per week and two hours per shift. Shifts are 7:30AM-12PM and 1PM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday and 6AM-12PM on Fridays. Cogen/Heating Plant Position – The facilities management department is looking for students who can work at least ten hours a week, are responsible and willing to learn, can work during the school year and during breaks, have a valid CA driver’s license with a clear driving record, and are willing to be trained in steam line/heating/electrical systems. Responsibilities will include on duty monitoring of Co-gen operations, answering phones and radios, and relaying messages over the phone and/or radio. Public Safety – Accepting applications from students interested in working as either a Communications Dispatcher and/or Campus Patrol Officer. These are continuous filling/recruitment positions. Although upperclassmen are preferred, all applications will be accepted and students can be employed from all grade levels. Public Safety performs a background review on all applicants. Applicants are expected to be dependable, responsible, diligent and exhibit ethical work habits. Greeter- The Greeter meets customers at our entrances/exits and directs guests in the tasting room to tasting bars, correct areas to check in for tours and obtain General Admission tickets, find parking, rest rooms and provide information on the general area, services available to them and our grounds. The greeter should have a background in customer service and be comfortable multi-tasking. $12/ hr starting. Times needed- Weekends, holidays year round and weekdays May-September.
Cashier/ Reservation Assistant- The Cashier/Reservation Assistant receives payment for goods, makes change, handles cash register tasks, assists customers with their orders, and assists in other duties as directed including inventory, pricing, stocking goods, etc. The cashier should have a background in customer service and is comfortable multi-tasking. While working in the Castaldo the Cashier/Reservationist is responsible for taking telephone reservations and booking tours and tastings for the winery as well as checking people in and accepting payment for their tours. $14/hr Starting. Times needed- Weekends, holidays, some weekdays year round.
Desk Agent – The Wydown Hotel in St. Helena is looking for someone to provide exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner. Performs all front desk related functions including but not limited to checking guests in/out. Requirements: must have excellent communication, phone, and hospitality skills; must show professionalism at the workplace; at least (1) year hospitality experience preferred. Accounting Intern – Ganze and Company, a long time respected CPA firm in Napa, is looking for an Accounting Intern. The student filling this position will handle a range of important duties which include: learn accounting software by assisting in monthly financial statement preparation; learn bank statement reconciliation process on a monthly basis through online banking software; learn other balance sheet account reconciliations and posting monthly accrual entries; understand how generally accepted accounting principles and practices are integrated into day to day business environment; assist with preparation of annual tax returns; and complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned. We Care Animal Rescue – We Care Animal Rescue is a private, non-profit organization that serves as a refuge for homeless cats and dogs in the Napa Valley.
