Camp Counselor Boys Camp Counselor needed for Pacific Quest here on the PUC Campus July 19-24. Boys Counselor for boys ages 12-15 will supervise them for the 5 days they are attending “college” through the Pacific Quest program. It provides the Boys Counselor with free rom, free meals (3 per day) and a $400 stipend. Duties begin at 12 noon on Sunday, July 19 and end on Friday, July 24 at 12 noon. Housing Department (summer job) - The Housing Department is in need of 2 or 3 student workers for the summer. Athletic Department - looking for non-student athlete underclassmen/women to be part of our team.  The job requirements are as follows: Need to be available for all home games, has some basic knowledge of any of the these three sports Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, willing to work in any of the game staff positions needing coverage, and dependable.  Some of the various jobs are: Stat keepers, scoreboard, lines judge, announcer, floor wipers, ball shaggers and concessions. There will be a training date scheduled to learn the various positions. These are continuous filling/recruitment positions. Although upperclassmen are preferred, all applications can be accepted and students can be employed from all grade levels. Director of General Services The Napa County Office of Education is looking for a new Director of General Services. The Director of General Services provides leadership, vision, and plans, coordinates and directs the functions of purchasing, maintenance, operations, facilities, fixed assets, food service, and emergency preparedness. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, business administration or a related field. They must have a minimum of five years of experience in a business related position, and have a valid California driver’s license and proof of liability insurance. Instructional Support Specialist II The Liberty High School is looking for someone to fulfil the following descriptions: assists one or more teachers in the care and supervision of the at-risk children in a classroom or related facility. Maintains and prepares classroom materials, attendance records, health forms, and student files. Provides instructional assistance to individuals or small groups of students. Instructional Support Specialists II concentrates in serving special at-risk students assigned to our program because of issues with truancy and/or behavior. Instructional Support Specialist II and above also possess the required educational background for NCLB. Again, the Instructional Support Specialist career path required as a minimum, completion of 48 college transfer credit hours or successful completion of a rigorous academic assessment exam in order to comply with “no child left behind” requirements. Pali Instructors Pali Institute is seeking enthusiastic educators with a strong work ethic to join our outdoor education family. We are a residential science camp located in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California. We provide education in leadership, outdoor education and science to kids ranging from 4th grade through 12th grade. Most schools will visit for a 3 day or 5 day program. Our instructors teach during the day and supervise a cabin of kids during meals, free time and overnight. This is a great position for recent graduates who would like to get a feel for teaching, while exploring the wonders of southern California. Employment is seasonal. We are currently hiring for the fall seasons, which runs mid-August through mid-December. The work is definitely rigorous, a typical week will involve roughly 60 hours of work. Pay is a daily rate and caries depending on whether staff are also supervising a cabin or not. Most weeks instructors average $300. We are also hiring registered nurses. Some qualifications include that applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree, extensive experience in the camping and/or experiential education fields, be comfortable and confident supervising and teaching students in large and small groups, must pass a federal and state background check, and have First Aid/CPR certification. It is a full-time seasonal position with hours schedule according to group attendance and additional duties as assigned. Salary is $75 per day in cabin or $55 during smaller weeks when you may live out of cabin. Early Childhood Education Assistant II The Napa Preschool Program is looking for someone who has a completion of 9 college units in early childhood education. The ECE Assistant II is the second level of a career path for instruction support specifically assigned to pre-kindergarten children. Duties include assisting one or more early childhood teachers in education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playground at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. The position requires basic knowledge of goals, principles, and practices for implementing age appropriate child development and guidance in a pre-kindergarten environment. Director of Music – Napa Valley Lutheran Church is looking for a Director of Music to plan and coordinate the entire music program. The director would be responsible for coordinating organists, pianists, worship music ministry participants, mange weekly meetings, choose music, serve as song leader, and more. Qualifications for this position include: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in music, church music, or other related area, knowledge or willingness to learn Lutheran theology, competency in vocal performance and instructions, demonstrated skill and competency in keyboard/organ/piano, experience and competency with directing, encouraging and motivating volunteer choirs and bands of all ages. This is a part-time position averaging about 8 hours/week. PUC Elementary School 1. A child care provider for the 2015 Summer Enrichment Program.
Job involves supervising up to twelve elementary-aged children at the Elementary School gym, on local field trips, and daily trips to the PUC pool. Care Giver, Psychiatric Technician, Counselor Position Pacifica Pain Management Services in Napa provides detoxification from prescription narcotics, functional restoration, and substance dependence counseling services to severe, chronic pain syndromes.
