Job Opportunities for the Gym (Next year): We are looking for reliable workers for the Fitness Center, Weight Room or Gym for the following academic year. If you have an interest in fitness and sports and feel like you would be a great addition to the recreations staff, then come interview for a position. Have an application filled when coming to the interview and meet with the appropriate manager. Criteria to follow is listed below along with meeting times with the managers:
Fitness Center – Meet with Sandra Mendoza & Yaiselyn Estrella; May 31st 7:15pm; June 2nd 7:15pm-9pm in downstairs class of Gym: Must have general knowledge of how equipment works, basic knowledge and passion for fitness, able to pay attention to one’s surroundings, great people skills, flexible schedule, and willing to work weekends, early  mornings or late evenings, and vacations.
Gym Floor – Meet with Lizzie Snow & Dakota Jordan; June 1st 7pm-9pm; June 2nd 3pm-5pm in downstairs classroom of gym: Must have basic knowledge of fitness and sports, must know how to use equipment, able to pay attention to one’s surroundings, great people skills, conflict resolution skills, assertive, able to keep work area clean, flexible schedule, and willing to work weekends, late evenings, and vacations.
Weight Room – Meet with Damien & Greg Patterson; May 31st 3pm-5pm; June 2nd 3pm-5pm in Coach Evan’s office: Must have basic knowledge of weight training and fitness, must know how machines and equipment works, must be able to recognize poor form and technique in exercises, be able to “spot” exercises such as the squat and bench press properly, attentive to surroundings, assertive, great people skills, able to keep work area clean, flexible schedule, and willing to work weekends, early mornings or late evenings, and vacations.
Applications must be filled out before attending the interview and may be picked up in the Payroll Department.

PUC Church The PUC Church may need part-time, temporary help for the summer quarter. Duties include: Light cleaning and event help. Must be available to work some evenings and some weekends, but most work hours are scheduled between 9am – 5pm, M-F. Stop by the Church Office for an application.

Visual Arts Department Thinking of staying at PUC for the summer? The visual arts department is hiring. Individual must be willing and able to do heavy lifting and deep cleaning. Will be working 20+ hours per week and there will be 2 to 4 weeks of work, starting immediately after school. Cogen/Heating Plant Position The facilities management department is looking for students who can work at least ten hours a week, are responsible and willing to learn, can work during the school year and during breaks, has a valid CA driver’s license with a clear driving record, and is willing to be trained in stream line/heating/electrical systems. The duties will include on duty monitoring of Co-gen operations, answering phones and radios, and relaying messages over the phone and/or radio. For more information call Matt at (707) 965-7141.

Facilities Management Position­ ­–The facilities management department is looking for a freshman or sophomore student, who plans to stay at PUC through their senior year, to perform monthly inspections on fire extinguishers in campus buildings and vehicles. Must be a very dependable, hard-working student who is able to work with minimal supervision once training is completed. Since training is lengthy, a long-term commitment to this job is necessary. A current DL (with a clear driving record) is required to successfully perform the assigned duties. To apply, stop by facilities management to complete an application. Sports Writing Opportunity - The Athletics Department is looking for a non student athlete to help facilitate in writing some of the articles on the Athletics website. The job requirements are: General knowledge about Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball and Cross country, can understand game statistics, and a great writer. Articles will need to be posted 24 hours post competition and sent to the Athletic Director Brittany Brown or Assistant Athletic Director Brandon Lucas. This position would be 4-6 hours a week. Athletic Staff Job Opportunities - The Athletic Department is looking for Non student athlete underclassmen/women to be part of our team for the 2016-2017 season.  The job requirements are as follows: Need to be available for all home games, has some basic knowledge of any of the these three sports Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, willing to work in any of the game staff positions needing coverage, and dependable. Some of the various jobs are: Stat keepers, scoreboard, announcer, Play by play voice, line judge, floor wipers, ball shaggers and concessions, and article writers.  There will be a training date scheduled to learn the various positions. Nursing & Health Sciences Looking for a Non-Nursing student major (one position available) to begin work in the office ASAP. Freshman or Sophomore preferred. Hours are flexible and change from quarter to quarter. Must have good professional, communication, writing, and computer skills. Duties include answering phones, typing, filing, projects, etc. Must be punctual when scheduled to work. If interested, come by the nursing office to submit an application. Public Safety- Accepting applications from students interested in working as either a Communications Dispatcher and/or Campus Patrol Officer. These are continuous filling/recruitment positions. Although upperclassmen are preferred, all applications can be accepted and students can be employed from all grade levels. Public Safety does perform a background review on all applicants, with specific personal traits expected to include: dependability, reliability, ethical work habits, responsibility, and diligence. Job description: Processes all business office transactions that relate to student financial records. Performs all accounting functions in the business office that relate to the general ledger, payroll, human resources and accounts payable. Highly involved in the budgeting process and financial stewardship of the school. Reports to the Principal and the Finance Chair. Sea Kayak Instructor Sea kayak instructor for 5 day instructional courses in our day camp program for students ages 9 & 10, and 11-15. Background in sea kayaking preferred but willing to train a river kayaker with desire and good skills. Teach entry and exit skills, paddling strokes, assisted and self-rescue techniques, tides and currents, and navigation skills. Two instructors are needed. Camp Cedar Falls Wrangler positions are still available at Camp Cedar Falls for the upcoming summer of 2016. Qualifications include previous experience in riding and care, knowledge of horses (including potential ailments), and ability to communicate and demonstrate proper horsemanship. Responsibilities include guiding, directing and supervising horsemanship area, insuring safe operation of all horse activities, teaching classes according to campers’ ages and abilities, keep arena, stalls, and equipment in clean, safe, working conditions, maintaining an adequate supply of feed, and planning weekly “rodeo” in cooperation with the program director.
