For years, various projects have been deeply considered by the administration at Pacific Union College. At the start of 2025, Vice President for Advancement Carlos Garcia, with the help of various departments, created the PUC Forward Campaign to raise funds for numerous renovations to highlight overall campus and student life, beautifying and improving the campus.

Aviation Students Develop Motion Platform Software for Simulator Program

This past fall quarter, Pacific Union College Aviation Program Director Nathan Tasker taught the AVIA-402: Simulation Innovation course for the first time. The purpose of this class was to further the program’s two prototype simulators. One group focused on the full-motion, six-degrees-of-freedom platform purchased with funds from the 2025 VersaCare grant. This platform is a highly respected, cutting-edge device that is currently marketed for realistic, immersive simulation.

Pioneers Profile: Andrea Maidan
Senior cross-country athlete Andrea Maidan won first place in the 6K race at the National Association of Intercollegiate (NAIA) at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, FL, on November 21, outrunning 28 racers over three and a half minutes, finishing in 25:02.78. Before the race, Andrea was dealing with an Achilles injury and was unsure whether it would go as planned. With the trusted training she received from her coaches and teammates, and the nervousness and excitement, her mentality going into the 6K was to treat it like any other competition.
