School of Sciences Laboratory Safety & Chemical Hygiene
The School of Sciences is committed to providing a safe environment for teaching, research, and laboratory work. Laboratory safety is a shared responsibility of faculty, staff, student employees, and students.
This site provides access to the School of Sciences Chemical Hygiene Plan, Chemical Inventory, laboratory safety procedures, emergency information, and related safety resources.
The Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) establishes general requirements for working safely with hazardous chemicals in School of Sciences laboratories. The Chemical Inventory provides a searchable reference for chemicals maintained within the School of Sciences, including hazard, PPE, fume hood, and storage information. These resources should be used together with current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and laboratory-specific procedures.
