Pacific Union College Administrative Statement Regarding Immigrant Support

As a Christian, Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning, we want to reaffirm our deep commitment for the rights of all persons and the fair treatment of immigrants and refugees in the United States. We believe that all people are equal in Christ and that our campus should be a warm and welcoming place for everyone.

While we do not expect ICE activity on our campus, we realize some of our students may have additional questions or need special support. We understand many of our students have family members and friends now living in a state of fear. We wish to provide encouragement, empathy, and understanding to all on our campus dealing with these anxieties and uncertainties.

We have included a list of support services on our campus as well as our parent church organization alongside their official statements.

For international students with questions or concerns, please contact Gene Edelbach, acting Student and Spiritual Life Vice President by text at (951) 809-6777.

Pacific Union College follows federal law articulated by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We protect the privacy of educational records of our students and all health information per federal law.

Pacific Union College practices both appropriate respect for governmental authorities, including law enforcement, and adherence to the civil and legal rights of individuals.

If you are contacted or approached on campus by law enforcement, please immediately and respectfully refer all inquiries to Kathleen Slack, (707) 965-6281 or text Gene Edelbach, (951) 809-6777.
