Meet the Counselors

Brennan Puiia

Birthplace: Sacramento, CA

Degree: B.S. in Public Relations/Journalism

Hobbies:  Sports (activities, trivia, events), writing, reading, day trips

Brennan in one word: Versatile

Favorite place on campus: Hands down, the Grainger Residence Hall lobby. It was central to my favorite memories, conversations, sporting events and all night study sessions. There is something happening there just about any time of day.

Cambria Wheeler

Hometown: Santa Rosa, California

Degrees: B.A. in History

Hobbies: Reading, hiking, theater, and old cars

Cambria in one word: Enthusiastic

What I love about PUC: Everyone is part of a community of thinkers, and the classrooms aren't the only place learning happens. You can find out something new by going to vespers, hanging out in the dorm, or talking to a professor in the market.

Favorite place on campus: Alice Holst Theater, one hour before show time.

My time at PUC has taught me: The beauty of questions, the importance of faith, and that procrastination isn't a wise study technique.

Daniel Zurkic

Birthplace: Cleveland, Ohio

Degree: B.B.A Accounting

Hobbies: Playing basketball, reading books, scrutinizing Sports Center and sports science.

Daniel in one word: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Favorite place on campus:  My favorite place would have to be the back trails behind the airport. Spending so many mornings running back there for cross country was just amazing. Some mornings you would be running in total darkness, but being one of the first people to see that sunrise in the morning was always worth it. Also catching up with my friends the chipmunks was awesome too.

J.R. Rogers

Birth Place: Fresno, CA

Degrees: B.S. in Film & Television, A.S. in Paramedicine

Hobbies: Firefighting, Outdoor Activities, Hanging with Friends

J.R. in one word: Involved

Favorite thing about PUC: I love the location.  You are in Gods nature but not far from a small city or a large one.  The beach, mountains, lake and San Francisco are close by.  But the small community atmosphere where you know teachers by first name, know their number and feel comfortable talking to them is totally awesome and advantageous to learning.

Larissa Church

Birthplace: Berrien Springs, Michigan

Degrees: B.A. in English, Writing Emphasis & a B.A. in History, American History emphasis

Hobbies: Reading, blogging, playing Words with Friends, drinking coffee, discovering new & fantastic places to eat, & going to Disneyland with my husband & our friends.

Larissa in one word: Feisty

Favorite college memory: When I was the editor of PUC's student-run newspaper, The Campus Chronicle, during my junior year. The nights we got the paper ready for publication were some of the best nights in my life - holing up in my office for hours with some of my greatest friends, putting together what would eventually become part of PUC history.
