The following duties are typical for this position. Incumbents may perform some or all of the listed duties or may be required to perform additional duties to address business needs and changing business practices. Performs daily work to support the needs of the Facilities Management Department and Pacific Union College. Evaluates the working condition of vehicles and equipment, identifies mechanical problems, reports equipment status and condition and makes adjustments and repairs as needed. Accurately and completely enters data in logs and records, both manually and by computer in a timely manner. Rebuilds engines/components, repairs brakes, performs pre-smog checks, repairs/replaces vehicle electrical components, maintains and repairs hydraulic systems, maintains and repairs automotive air conditioning, and accurately calibrates and adjusts equipment and mechanical devices to maintain college vehicles in a good and safe working order.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and four (4) years’ experience preferred.
  • ASE certifications 1-9 preferred. Must hold or be able to acquire a commercial bus license within six months of employment.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use Automotive Repair software and the Maintenance Request software are required.
