Duties:

  • Help create national awareness of college brand and drive enrollment and giving.
  • Developing branding for new programs, including naming, positioning, graphics, and related brand elements.
  • Conceptualizing and designing creative projects, including ads, direct mail, trade show materials, recruitment and giving collateral, electronic media, corporate events; manages project elements as assigned, from concept through completion.
  • Communicating with senior team members to receive feedback on work, and project updates.
  • Participating in and facilitating photo shoots, video production, and college events, as needed.
  • Helping maintain college graphics standards (including brand and trademark equity) and maintain the company/brand artwork archive/image folio.
  • Assisting with web site design and updates, navigation, and content. Executing website edits and updates.
  • Working with multiple project managers and marketing/PR associates to understand clients’ needs, associated timelines, and processes on a variety projects.
  • Assisting in supervising junior designers, photographers, and student designers.
  • Performing research on new trends, competitors, etc.
  • Working with printing vendors for projects in need of print and quoting.
  • Ensuring production standards with print vendors, publications and other external resources.
  • Maintaining and keeping an organized file system and backing up files accordingly.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative design/development.
  • College degree w/ emphasis in design, marketing, communications, advertising, etc.
  • Demonstrated developed skilled set in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word). Web, APP development and programming skill sets a bonus.
  • Design portfolio of branding, advertising, direct mail, brochures, videos, product manuals, etc.
  • Current on design trends
  • Experience on a Macintosh platform 
  • Experience with digital photography 
  • Experience designing for the web 
  • Experience designing infographics
  • Proven ability to personally produce outstanding creative work for multiple projects, on deadline.
  • Familiarity with brand identities, graphics and standards for creative products.
  • Understanding of the web, web development and design, as well as electronic media for marketing (e.g. apps, social media, E newsletters, etc.).
  • Must be a fast and efficient worker and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once.
  • Must be a creative problem-solver, team player, and brand advocate.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Marketing, advertising and SEO knowledge is a plus
  • Pre-press / printing process knowledge is a plus
  • Minimal travel, evening and weekend work as required.
