Duties

Directs and coordinates College registration activities by performing the following duties:

  • Oversees all operations in the registration process. Record creation, course schedule building, classroom assignment, final exam scheduling, grade processing, transcript issuance, and student enrollment verification.
  • Consults with other officials to devise schedules and procedures.
  • Analyzes statistical data on registration for administrative use in formulating policies.
  • Exchanges student information with other colleges or universities.
  • Maintains and updates a student records system.
  • Directs preparation for graduation and compilation of commencement list.
  • Prepares statistical reports on educational activities.
  • Interprets registration policies to faculty and students.
  • Directs activities of employees engaged in transcribing and evaluating academic records of students applying for permission to enter college.
  • Directs compilation of information, such as class schedules, final examination schedules and graduation requirements, for publication in school catalog.
  • Coordinates dissemination of information on courses offered and procedures students are required to follow in order to obtain grade transcripts.
  • Adjudicates student special requests.
  • Researches and recommends academic policies.
  • Supervises the administration of Veterans Affairs programs.
  • Updates college standards related to the Family Rights and Privacy act.
  • Supervises collection and recording of grades.
  • Issues official transcripts.
  • Awards and posts associate, baccalaureate and graduate degrees.
  • Issues diplomas.
  • Coordinates class schedules with room assignments for optimum use of buildings and equipment.
  • Trains and supervises staff in conducting registration, grading, and degree audit for students enrolled in BSM and ECE programs.
  • Administers the Records department budget.
  • Serves as a member on the Academic Senate, the College Assembly, the Academic Standards and General Education Committee, the Curriculum and Efficiency Committee, the Grants, Loans and Scholarship Committee, and the Admissions Committee, and serves as secretary of Academic Senate.

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 year’s experience as a registrar, or experience in a similar administrative role
  • Experience in Higher Education preferred
  • A strong commitment to Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Higher Education;
  • Must have an expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and an SDA church member in good and regular standing.

Compensation

Salary; $66,560 (plus denominational benefits depending upon qualifications and experience)
