Duties

  • Management and maintenance of all non-medical, Career, Counseling, and Disabilities services activities. 
  • Responsible for the standardization of front office functions in collaboration with Counseling Services office administrator.
  • Responsible for assisting the director of Health and Counseling Services with processing outside medical referrals where indicated which includes but not limited to: Paperwork processing, transportation, phone communication, and claim submission
  • Supports Career, Counseling, and Disabilities by providing general office assistance (e.g., phone communication)
  • Assists Career, Counseling, and Disabilities by documenting attendance, completing paperwork, and scheduling appointments using Titanium
  • Supports the Counseling Services office administrator when appropriate (e.g., psychiatric clinic day)

Desirable Qualifications

  • At least two years office manager experience in a HIPPA environment. Medical office experience or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
  • Language skills; Able to read and comprehend moderately technical memos, information, computer instructions, and directions. Is able to write and respond appropriately to medical/counseling correspondence.
  • Reasoning ability: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems with others constructively regardless of ethnicity, gender identification, age, or college status (faculty/staff/student/public).
