Duties

Full-time, 12-month benefited position responsible for managing all operations for the men and women’s soccer intercollegiate teams. The coach Is a member of the Pioneers Athletics department of and reports directly to the Athletic Director. PUC is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and California Pacific Conference.

The Pioneers soccer coach provides leadership and direction to support student-athlete success in the classroom and on the soccer field. The coach is a positive contributor to the athletic department and the college. He/she supports the Seventh-day Adventist mission of the institution and actively contributes to a Christian college environment. The coach supervises the soccer coaching staff (volunteer and paid) and is responsible for fundraising for the program. Pioneers soccer will maintain a positive reputation within the community.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.  Previous 2-3 years of experience coaching is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate a record of success in coaching volleyball and recruiting student-athletes (collegiate-level preferred)
  • Familiar with NAIA governing rules
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds 
  • Willingness to travel for competitions and recruiting
