Salary; Salary based upon degree and experience (plus denominational benefits based on qualifications and experience)


Reporting to the Director of Custodial Services, duties include but are not limited to: supervision and scheduling of student employees; assist in maintaining academic and administrative areas of campus; delegate tasks to students; clean areas when students are not available; scheduling and perform carpet extraction on and off campus; maintain carpet extraction equipment; manage inventory for cleaning supplies and chemicals; maintain and repair vacuum; take leadership and/or assist with floor and carpet maintenance, window cleaning, pest control, on and off-campus moving, setup and takedown for major campus events; must be available to work on alternating weekends; help provide a positive, service oriented, and efficient department among student and staff workers; and other duties as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in carpet and upholstery cleaning, housekeeping, and supervision of student employees (2-3 years)
  • Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification registrant in carpet and upholster cleaning
  • Mechanically oriented
  • Motivated and able to motivate others
  • Strong and reliable service record
  • Customer service oriented
  • Knowledge of office procedures (telephone receptionist, payroll, & billing)
  • Team leader and participant
  • Ability to meet scheduling requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to operate carpet extractor, floor buffers, and various cleaning equipment 
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
