Salary; Salary based upon degree & experience (plus denominational benefits).
Duties
Teach communication department courses such as, but not limited to: Intro to Public Relations, Crisis Communication, Social Media Marketing, Fundraising, COMM/PREL/JOUR prefixes and Internships, and other classes as agreed. The specific course load will depend on the qualifications and interests of the newly-hired faculty member and the needs and interests of the department faculty.
In addition to an emphasis on teaching, Pacific Union College also places strong emphasis on student interaction and community involvement. Faculty are expected to participate in advising department majors, attend department functions, contribute to the College governance system, become positively involved in the College and local communities.
Desirable Qualifications
- M.A., M.S. or Ph.D. in public relations, strategic communication or related discipline or experience
- College teaching experience preferred
- Special consideration will be given to those with experience in social media and analytics
- Strong public speaking, writing and interpersonal skills
