Salary; Commensurate upon degree and experience (plus denominational benefits depending upon qualifications and experience)


  • — Teaching Fundamentals of Aviation (Ground Theory) and Flight Training.
  • — Developing, maintaining and updating flight training programs for pilot certificates and ratings in accordance with FAA regulations
  • — Serving as academic advisor for Aviation majors and minors.
  • — Manages the operation of the airport.
  • — Interviews, hires, trains, and supervises the staff, (Office Manager, and student employees).
  • — Trains student employees in safe ramp procedures, (refueling, moving, and parking of aircraft).
  • — Maintains supplies of avgas, diesel, oil, supplies, and aircraft parts. Authorizes invoice payments.
  • — Supervises the management of accounts receivable (tie down, hangar lease, and other charges.)
  • — Assumes the duties of director of aircraft maintenance.
  • — Arrange the required inspections on fleet aircraft, as required by FAA regulations
  • — Arrange repairs to aircraft to keep them airworthy. When workload prevents, for repairs by Mike's Aero.
  •  Arrange preventive maintenance on the aircraft

Desirable Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelors in Aviation, Masters preferred
  • FAA Certification (CFI, CFII, MEI)
  • — FAA Certified Flight Instructor with instrument privileges in single and multi-engine land aircraft.
  • — Management skills.
  • — Classroom teaching experience.
  • — Customer service orientation.
