Student Opportunities


Music students working toward a music education degree do student teaching, usually during their fifth year. No other internships are required.

I Cantori
Mixed-voice chamber ensemble designed for voice majors and other serious vocal students. Director: Jenelle Anderson

Large mixed chorus open to all students, faculty and staff. Director: Jenelle Anderson

Symphonic Wind Ensemble
Advanced instrumentalists perform a wide variety of music in various settings. Director: Asher Raboy

Orchestral masterworks performed in quarterly concerts and other events. Director: Rachelle Berthelsen-Davis

Handbell Choir
Two levels of handbell choirs, "beginning" open to any student with music reading skills and "advanced" for ringing level three music and above. Director: Auriel Helmer

Student Employment

The department hires student secretaries, student teachers for Paulin Center for the Creative Arts, and readers for teachers. Contact the music office at (707) 965-6201 for information on job descriptions and current openings.
