There are several ways in which becoming a quality cookie is (sorta) like becoming a quality Christian.

Process - A good cookie does not come about instantaneously. There's a lot of measuring, mixing, chilling, shaping, baking, cooling, and so on that has to happen, changing the chemical structure of the cookie and melding the contents together.

Complex - A good cookie is not composed JUST of flour, though it's important, or JUST of chocolate, though it's yummy, or JUST of egg, though the other components need egg to hold together. It assimilates a wide variety of contents into becoming a whole.

Flexible - Though becoming a quality cookie is a process, the cookie also demonstrates excellence at every stage, makes the most of who it is at the time, and is useful in a variety of capacities. A cookie is good as raw dough, hot out of the oven, cooled, formed into an ice cream sandwich, given to neighbors, decorated for Christmas, etc.

Making a Difference for the Better - A quality cookie can win the heart of just about anybody, by its simple goodness and the joy that it brings.
