This week has been pretty hectic. On Monday I had my midterm in Nursing Education and I’m glad to say that it is over! I have been busy with clinicals, homework assignments and a teaching project in which I will be instructing the 1st quarter nursing students how to insert nasogastric tubes. To be honest, I’m a little nervous.

On Wednesday I went to the PUC nursing job fair and talked to recruiters about job offers and programs. It’s always fun to go because of the free goodies and treats they give you. I have been applying for jobs at hospitals around the Napa Valley. It’s been tough finding a new grad position, but I know that God will place me where I am needed at the right time.

Senior Recognition was Thursday morning and I am excited to be a part of the graduating class this June! It was a good service because Professor Jimmy Ha spoke to our class and shared his words of wisdom. Go class of 2010!

Even though school has been time-consuming, I have been fortunate to find some time for leisure activities. Lately, I’ve been working on a few independent art projects and would like to submit an artwork to Quicksilver (the annual PUC art and literary magazine), but I don’t know if I will meet the deadline. I’m amazed to see the creativity, talent, and skill many students have on our campus and I can’t wait to see them in this year’s edition.

Intramurals basketball has been awesome. It’s been a while since I have played basketball but it feels good running up and down the court once again. As long as I don’t sprain my ankles, I’m having a good time. Intramurals badminton next quarter will be a lot of fun too. I can’t wait to smash the birdie over the net!

Snowboarding has been on my mind a lot lately. I’m still new to the sport and have only gone three times so far, but I have been addicted since the first day. Unfortunately I was not able to go during the last ski weekend, but since I don’t have classes on Fridays, Boreal for $15 all-day is where I will be. It may not be the best snow, but for that price, who cares!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I can’t wait to spend the day with my special girl. Although I am broke, whatever we end up doing, I know that we will have a memorable time together.

Well, the end of the quarter is coming up soon so I better get back to studying.

Spring Break here I come!
