The first week of February was just about as average a week as any. Clocking in about twenty hours between a few jobs and going to classes with a ton of homework sounds like a lot, but it’s not too bad because at least I can do the homework while I work! Just another week in the life of Avery Lay.

Even with more midterms and work ahead of me, I have to make time for the Pioneer basketball game tonight! It’s one of their last home games, so I definitely have to go cheer on my friends on the team. At games, I am usually recording the games for Video Yearbook or online highlights, but whether I’m there for work or pleasure, the atmosphere at the court is a lot of fun to be around!

Everyone left today for the Business Club and KASA (Korean Adventist Student Association) ski trip, so the campus is pretty dead. Lucky for me, I get to work three 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. shifts at the co-generation plant (which generates electric power and steam for the whole campus), so I can catch up on my sleep during the day!

I’m pleased to just relax and wait for the weekend. I’m even more pleased to almost be done with midterms! Hopefully, this rain lets up before tomorrow so I can go for outside for a nice Sabbath hike or something.
