Hey all,

Thanks Mom and Dad for all your encouraging e-mails during midterms. It always seems that just when we get over the midterm hump, finals begin to stare us in the face. At least we have the holidays to look forward to!

The last week or so has gone by so fast. One of my close friends celebrated her birthday, so we all headed out in a group to the city for some fun. I love how one of the world's greatest cities is right in our backyard. This is year four for me down here, and I still haven't even experienced the slightest fraction of all the things to do in the Bay Area. Fantastic doesn't begin to describe it. We decided to visit a great sushi house before going to Emeryville for some world-class cupcakes and window shopping.

The weather has been just about perfect lately. The sky has been clear and blue, while the air cool and crisp. The mornings are a little too much on the brisk side, though. I have an early morning jogging class with Coach Paulson, which means waking up and hopping out into the cold morning.

Words cannot express how much I'm looking forward to being home for a few days for Thanksgiving. I miss the warmth of the wood fire and Mom's perfect cooking. I also can't wait to see Oliver again! I miss my big black dog. Being home with all of you is just the shot in the arm I need to make it through the finals to winter break. All I have to do now is make it through one more week and get to the airport on time!
