BOOKSTORE CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE
On Thursday, December 4, from 3-6 p.m., take 15% off all purchases (excluding textbooks, electronics, printer cartridges & gift certificates). Refreshments will be served, and prizes given every ½ hour.
SOL CLUB & SA CHRISTMAS PARTY
Invite your friends and come to SOL's Christmas party on Saturday night, December 6, 7-10 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Enjoy food, games, prizes, pictures with Santa, a movie, and much more! Bring a simple, fun gift of $5-10 to exchange at the White Elephant. Sign-ups are in the Dining Commons all week during lunch and dinner. Hurry up and get on the limited list! It is time again for course evaluations on D2L. The survey closes on Friday, December 5. Rating your courses may seem tedious, but your instructors really do appreciate your comments, whether they convey praise or constructive criticism. MUSIC DEPARTMENT CHRISTMAS CONCERTS
The PUC music department presents “Lessons and Carols: A Christmas Concert” for students and the community on Friday, December 5, at 8 p.m. and on Sabbath afternoon, December 6, at 4 p.m. Both concerts take place in the Sanctuary. This joyous celebration of sacred music features the PUC orchestra, choirs, and handbells. Admission is free and open to the public.
MORRIS K. UDALL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship amount: $5,000. In 2009, the Foundation expects to award 80 scholarships and 50 honorable mentions on the basis of merit to sophomore and junior level college students. Scholarships are offered in any of three categories: To students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment; or to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to tribal public policy; or to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to Native health care. NURSING DEPARTMENT HOLIDAY HOURS
The nursing department will be closed for the Christmas holiday during the week of December 22-26, and for the New Year’s holiday on Thursday, January 1.
NORTH AMERICAN DIVISION HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The North American Division Hispanic Scholarship Fund is designed to assist with financial aid for full-time Hispanic students who are North American Division-based, faithful Seventh-day Adventist church members in good standing, and whose financial resources are inadequate to enable them to complete their graduate school education. PIONEER MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Pioneers host American Sports University in an exhibition game this Friday, December 5, at 2 p.m. in Pacific Auditorium.
MOG COAT DRIVE
Men of Grainger will be holding their annual coat drive through 12 noon on Thursday, December 11. Donate used or new coats for the homeless of Napa Valley. Donations may be taken to Grainger Hall front desk.
STUDENT PIZZA FEED
Free pizza will be available in your residence hall lobbies on Monday, December 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The pizza will be served until it’s gone. Sponsored by Student Services.
CHRISTMAS BREAK TRANSPORTATION
Limited space is available for transportation to Evans in Napa and Sacramento International Airport. Buses leave Winning lobby on Thursday, December 11, at 8:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Limited space is also available for return transportation to the College from Sacramento International Airport and Evans in Napa on Sunday, January 4. Cost is $15 to Napa and $20 to Sacramento. Contact Student Services at 7362 to sign up.
RESIDENCE HALL VACATION CLOSING TIME
Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, all residence halls, except Winning and Newton, will be closed and inaccessible during vacation. Residents who need to stay on campus during any part of the vacation must make arrangements with their residence hall dean. All vacation residents will be housed in Winning or Newton Halls. Winning and Newton Halls close at 12 noon on Friday, December 19, and re-open at 12 noon on Thursday, January 1. All other residence halls re-open at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 3.
EVANS AIRPORT SERVICE
The schedule for Evans Airport Service is available at
www.evanstransportation.com. The one-way charge is $29 between Napa and Oakland or San Francisco International Airports. Reservations are not required.

Bring your textbooks to the College Bookstore for Textbook Buyback which occurs December 8-12.
