Growing Our Endowment:
The Angwin Ecovillage Project

Pacific Union College is pursuing opportunities to grow the college endowment in an effort to provide scholarships for students, increase faculty compensation, strengthen the campus infrastructure and further our mission to offer an excellent Christ-centered education that prepares its students for productive lives of useful human service and uncompromising personal integrity.

In June 2006, the PUC board of Trustees approved an agreement with Triad Communities, LP, to examine possibilities for developing a portion of the college’s property that is not part of the core campus. The goal is to utilize PUC’s assets to not only grow the college endowment but to also benefit the Angwin community at large.

One of the ideas in discussion is the creation of an eco-village in Angwin, designed to balance jobs and housing and incorporate earth-friendly resources.
