The following are situations that are typically not considered as valid extenuating circumstances for violating parking regulations:
- An appeal based upon how long an appellant was parked in violation of a parking regulation/restriction.
- An appeal based upon an appellant's need to get to class, work, or to an appointment on time.
- An appeal based upon lack of parking space near your destination.
- An appeal based upon the assertion that no classes were in session.
- An appeal of a restricted/prohibited violation during evening or weekend hours.
- An appeal based upon the assertion that the appellant did not see signage or lane, line, or curb markings.
- An appeal based upon being told it was copasetic by someone other than Dept. Of Public Safety staff employee's
- An appeal based upon the fact you have received a citation in the past and do not wish to pay for another.
