Wellness Studio: Excellent A/V system with AppleTV, iPhone & laptop connectors to allow you to choose your workout from Wellness DVDs & Videos, YouTube, or your own downloaded workouts from your device.  OR use the Pandora Music setting on the Smart Hub of the TV and enjoy your workout at your own time and pace.

Lunch & Learn: 30-minute Skill-building Workshops held quarterly.  Bring your own lunch and get educated and inspired on health topics.  Watch your email for details.

Weight Watchers, ongoing, at NV College, St. Helena Campus,   5:30 p.m. Wednesdays (fee)

Resistance Training (recommended 2x per week)
Every Tuesday and Thursday the Weight Room is open from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. exclusively for faculty and staff. Not sure where to begin?  Contact PE Professor Mike Hellie ext. 6346 for an introduction to the use of equipment and recommended exercises for your fitness level and goals.

Yoga Class (Flexibility and strength training is recommended 2x per week)    
Wellness STUDIO Sunday mornings 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and Wednesdays evenings 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Flexibility and Strength-building while rejuvenating. Contact Instructor-In-Training Amy Collins  Donations welcome.

Chair Massage (Stress Reduction is recommended daily)
Twice a quarter, one of our favorite local certified Massage Therapists or Reflexologist will give free 20-minute massages. This is a VERY POPULAR benefit.  Emails announcing the next massage date are sent via the Wellness email and the schedule fills quickly. Keep your eyes open for all Wellness emails so you won’t miss out!    Then reply to the email with your preferred time frame to schedule your appointment.


The Wellness Office has a great variety of health-related resources for you to borrow at your convenience. Please stop by the office to look through our selection to see what interests you and help you achieve your goals. The Wellness Office is in West Hall Annex, Room 205. Call ahead for availability of a specific resource.

A huge variety of health books are available to borrow on subjects such as Fitness, Healthy Eating, Weight Management, Stress Reduction, Finances, Calorie counting and Humor. Come peruse the selection and borrow without worry.  The “Angwin Emporium,” AKA Dorcas/Adventist Community Services also has a VAST selection of Cookbooks, Health books, and every other kind of (non-offensive) non-fiction and fiction imaginable.  Take a half hour some Tuesday between 8a.m. and 3p.m. for treasure hunting!
