Wage Rate:
Wage rate based upon degree and experience (plus denominational benefits)

Reporting to the Vice President for Student Services, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provide secretarial support services to the vice president; draft letters and memos; prepare and edit on-campus publications; establish and maintain complex, interrelated filing system; order supplies; bill services; process travel authorizations, invoices, and purchase requisitions; reconcile financial statements; hire, train, and supervise student employees; work independently on assigned projects; research and produce selected reports with a heavy emphasis on computer application; schedule, coordinate, and prepare annual activities calendar, weekly programs, and regular meetings; maintain professional relationships in a high-visibility environment; coordinate and maintain student housing requests; maintain and supervise the attendance program; develop innovative solutions to increase efficiency; and other duties as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Commitment to the Christian orientation and educational mission of the college.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Advanced computer skills in word processing, data base programs, spreadsheets, graphics, and desktop publishing (type 60+ wpm)
  • Advanced office administration and secretarial skills
  • Ability to work independently under deadline pressures
  • Team player with ability to organize and delegate
  • Able to maintain confidentiality; customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to details
  • Minimum AS degree in office administration with BS degree preferred and three years os successful office administration experience
  • Superior telephone and personal communication skills
  • Cheerful, competent, self-motivated and helpful manner in dealing with people at all levels from both on and off campus
