An alumna and previous employee in this department stopped by for a visit the other day. She has just passed her nursing boards and is excited to start her career. While talking with her I asked what had brought her back to PUC. Her reply? "I'm just visiting the Helmers for a few days." She had come back to visit dean Bev Helmer, and was also taking the opportunity to visit others here on the campus, including her previous employer. It brought smiles to our faces, here in the office, to see her. As she was leaving I told her to enjoy the Napa Valley. She smiled and said, "It's so beautiful up here and it smells so good, like pine." Laughing, I replied, "You can tell you've been living down in southern California. Sometimes it is when you return somewhere that you realize how great that place is."

If you're ever in need of that vacation or just a meander down memory lane, consider a visit to PUC. We would love to see you and my guess is many of your professors are still here and would welcome your visit.
