The Pioneer Fund

PUC alumni and friends are truly Pioneers. Since the time when PUC was carved out of a hillside by a small group of dedicated visionaries, this center for Adventist higher learning has been forged by those pioneers who gave sacrificially of their time and talents. That tradition of giving continues today with those who invest in the mission and students of PUC.

A gift to The Pioneer Fund provides resources for pressing current needs such as academic equipment, scholarships for our most worthy students, and critical operational expenses. Your gift to The Pioneer Fund helps wherever PUC needs it most.

Walter C. Utt Center for Adventist History

Professor Walter C. Utt is perhaps PUC’s all-time most beloved professor. Through decades of dedicated teaching and tireless research, he touched the lives of generations of students. PUC has embarked upon a plan to build a new Media and Research Center, which will house the Walter C. Utt Center for Adventist History, attached to Nelson Memorial Library. The Center will be dedicated to promoting the highest quality scholarship into church history, encouraging and supporting Adventist historians, and preserving Utt’s published and unpublished research.

Scholarship Endowments

Perhaps the most important, constant need at PUC is tuition assistance for outstanding students who truly want to experience an excellent Adventist education. Endowed scholarships provide funding for worthy students with financial need, seeking opportunities to learn in the Christ-centered environment of PUC. You can support an existing scholarship through the Worthy Student Scholarship fund, start one of your own, or honor the legacy of a loved one. For information on establishing a new scholarship, call (707) 965-7500.

Special Giving Recognition

Pacific Union College is proud to recognize those who demonstrate the greatest commitment through their giving. These generous friends and alumni are invited to join one of PUC’s giving societies.

PUC’s longest tradition of giving. These generous alumni and friends have had a great impact upon PUC’s facilities and programs over the years. Committee of 100 members are invited to an annual event. Members of this group are invited to an annual reception with the President.

President’s Circle
