Student Opportunities

Internships

Film and television majors are required to complete an internship between their junior and senior years. While an internship is not required for the other degrees, it is recommended, and many students have served as interns for a wide range of organizations.

Clubs, Honor Societies, and Activities

  • SOFA (Society of Fine Arts)
  • AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts)
  • Film Club
  • CAP (Collegiate Association of Photographers)

The Visual Arts department frequently coordinates major field trips for students. Past trips include the Sundance Film Festival, photography excursions to Mexico, and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. The department also hosts numerous dinners and gatherings at faculty homes throughout the year.
