Biography:
John McDowell, Ph.D., specializes in 20th century British literature, biblical literature, and creative writing. He taught at Canadian Union College for over 20 years and served as their vice president for academic administration. He directs PUC's Honors Program and student trips to Italy. His work is published in a regular basis in Spectrum magazine, and he has presented at the Association for Core and Central Texts. McDowell is a practicing poet and visual artist (his primary interest is in sculpture), showing his work in a variety of galleries.
