Winning Hall
The
largest of the womens residence halls, Winning is an important
location on campus. The front desk is open 24 hours a day, providing
information and assistance to people on and off campus. Winning
lobby is a popular gathering place for male and female alike, who
can enjoy the fireplace and downstairs kitchen far into the evening.
The hall is four stories tall with 120 rooms housing an average
of 220 to 230 women each year. In addition to the kitchen and lobby
on the ground floor, fourth floor Winning has its own kitchen and
lobbysaving residents the hike down four flights of
stairs when the need for a snack strikes at midnight. There is
a
study and prayer room on every floor; and, as with all the halls
on campus, there are computers available for resident use. Bathrooms
are shared between two rooms, and laundry facilities are provided
for the residents.
Winning
Hall is also the center of guest housing for Pacific Union College,
reserving 12 of its rooms for visitor use only. Off of Winnings
lobby, Dauphinee Chapel is used frequently for college assembly
and chapel, as well as for the weekly womens assembly, which
meets for presentations on a variety of topics, including devotionals
and issues particularly relevant to women.
