Newton Hall
Newton
Hall is the flagship for the Mens Residence Halls. The main
office, open 24 hours a day, is where all new, transfer, and international
male students are processed. The multiplicity of cultures represented
in Newton Hall contributes to the halls great atmosphere.
There
are 140 two-person rooms in Newton Hall. Residents have access to
the halls lobby, three kitchens, laundry room (with washers,
dryers and ironing boards), sauna, and the recreation and fitness
room--which includes several aerobic machines, a universal gym,
other pieces of free-standing, weight-training machines as well
as two Ping Pong tables, three billiard tables, and a large television
with satellite dish. Drink and snack machines are also available.
When residents arent enjoying these luxuries, they also have
access to the most recent and exciting amenity of Newton Hall: a
fiber optic computer network which ties each room into the colleges
mainframe, providing students with convenient access to the library,
their professors, and the internet. The residents of Newton Hall
are also encouraged to maintain a noise policy that will allow students
to study or sleep anytime of the day or night.
