How a Round of Golf Can Benefit Worthy Students

by Heather Lackey

On May 22, Pacific Union College will be hosting the eighth annual Napa Valley Golf Tournament, held at the Napa Valley Country Club. This event benefits PUC's Worthy Student Fund, and it provides participants the opportunity to play 18 holes on a private golf course. In 1999 alone, more than $10,000 in proceeds was awarded to PUC students.

The tournament will feature two-best-ball foursome play, and all players will also enjoy lunch and dinner at the Napa Valley Country Club. Players will receive prizes, awards, and gifts. An exclusive "hole-in-one" 2000 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4 is featured, and a special award is offered for the longest drive as well. Complimentary use of Napa Valley Country Club's driving range is also included. For non-golfing guests, reservations can be made to attend the dinner. For those interested in participating or for more information on this event, please call (707) 965-7500.
