PUC Invites Lovers of Shakespeare to Relish the Bard in Ashland
by Brydon MarksThis summer Pacific Union College offers the opportunity to visit the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon, July 26 - 31. Participants in the program will attend the festival with instructor Rob Stretter and will attend performances of four of Shakespeare's plays; Measure for Measure, Henry IV - Part I, Cymbeline, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Participants will also be taken on a backstage tour, meet with one of the actors, and participate in group discussions of the plays.
Registration for this experience is $200. Two or three units of course credit can also be earned for which the price is $150, plus the discounted summer tuition rate of $195 per unit. For an additional $60, participants can spend five nights in the Ashland Hostel near the theaters. Participants are responsible for their own food and transportation.
