A number of courses have
specific prerequisites. Students who are unfamiliar with prerequisites
should consult the regular PUC Catalog before registration.
While every effort is made to provide accurate and current
information, Pacific Union College reserves the right to change

PUC reserves the right to adjust rates, rents and fees during
the summer to accommodate economic fluctuations.

Expenses
During summer school, Pacific Union College offers tuition savings
to all students who enroll except those taking directed study courses.
Tuition
$310/hour—regular classes
$188/hour—most seminars and workshops
$592/hour—directed study

$182/week—Single
$91/week—Single Special (Full-time working on-campus, or working on-campus and going to classes)
$121/week—Double, per person
$60.50/week—Double Special, per person (Full-time working on-campus, or working on-campus and going to classes)

It is assumed that you will be a single occupant (with a single occupant rate)
unless you make arrangements for someone to share the room with you. Room rates
as quoted do not include linen. Projected room charges are due at the time of
registration for each course.
There is a $30 per week minimum board during summer school for
students living in the residence halls. You may pay cash for your
food or purchase a meal card
for a specific amount of money from the Dining Commons. Call the Dining Commons

Summer Residence
Hall Discount
There is a special 50% off the full room rate during the summer for students
who are:
1. Employed on campus and taking PUC classes.
2. Taking classes full time.
3. Living in the Residence Halls.
Music Lessons
$200/hour, with credit (tuition additional)
$300/hour, no credit
Payment
Full payment at the time of registration for each course is required for all
tuition, workshop fees, and projected room and board (see Expenses). All
students who register for summer school are subject to the financial policies
as stated in the annual Bulletin regarding payment of their accounts
and release of transcripts.
Academic Standards and
Policies
The regulations printed in the college Catalog and Student Guide apply to
the summer session. Students are advised to become familiar with these regulations.
Library Services
As a Pacific Union College Summer School student, you may use
the in-house services of the Nelson Memorial Library free of
charge. To obtain a library card, apply at the library
circulation desk.
Summer School for Educators
This summer PUC is offering several seminars tailored to the needs
of teachers, targeted to excellence-oriented goals. Questions about
summer seminars and classes should be addressed to the Department
of Education, Pacific Union College, One Angwin Avenue, Angwin,
CA 94508, 707-965-7265.
Payment—In-service teachers from within the Pacific
Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists who are sponsored by
their
respective employing organizations should make advance arrangements
with their local conference educational superintendent who, in
turn, provides the college with the proper authorization. This
authorization must be received by June 17, at Enrollment Services,
Pacific Union College, One Angwin Avenue, Angwin, CA 94508-9707,
707-965-6677 to be considered in lieu of the tuition payment.
Teachers attending summer school should pay on-campus room and
board charges at registration time if they will be living in
dormitories for more that two weeks. If the teachers is attending
for two weeks
or less, the dormitory dean should be paid directly, and cash
should be paid for meals in the Dining Commons.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Shakespeare in Performance:

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is the nation's oldest and largest rotating repertory theater. Located in the town of Ashland, the Festival has staged top-quality productions of Shakespeare and other great playwrights for over sixty-five years. Come join us for this unique class experience. Those who do not need college credit can come simply for the joy of being immersed in the work of Shakespeare.
DATES:Tuesday, August 12 (10:00 a.m.) - Thursday, August 14 (8:00 p.m.)
LOCATION: Ashland, Oregon (Oregon Shakespeare Festival)
PLAYS:: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors, Othello, Coriolanus (and A View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller)
TOUR COST:
Non-credit tour: $450
Course for credit: $400 plus tuition [2-3 credits].
(50% discount on summer tuition: $292 per credit hour.)
Cost includes play tickets, backstage tour, meeting with an actor, access to Festival Exhibition Center, seminars on the plays, farewell dinner, and department fee. Cost does not include transportation, food, or lodging.
LODGING: Participants must make their own arrangements (Contact Program Coordinator for suggestions on the most affordable options)..
TRANSPORTATION: Participants must supply own transportation (Ashland is approx. 5-6 hours by car from PUC)
DEADLINES:Full payment due Friday, June 23, 2008
CANCELLATIONS: A complete refund will be available for cancellations received prior to June 23, 2008. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AFTER JUNE 23!
LATE APPLICATIONS:Late applications will be accepted, space permitting, until Ashland’s final payment deadline in early-July. However, applications received after June 23, 2008 will be ineligible for refund.
