DIRECTIONS TO NEWBOLD COLLEGE

PUBLIC TRANSIT

From Heathrow Airport: (25 miles from the college)

The best way to come to Newbold College is to take the Heathrow Rail Link bus from any of the airport terminals to Reading (pronounced “Redding”).
Buses run every half hour and it costs about £8 to get to Reading. (You will need this in cash as you pay once you are on the bus. Currency exchange is available inside the airport terminals.)

The bus stops outside the Reading Train Station.

Enter the train station via the stairs and go to the ticket counter.

At the ticket counter buy a “single ticket” to Bracknell. This costs around £3.
The journey takes about 15 minutes. Alight at Bracknell Train Station.

When you get off at Bracknell, taxis are usually waiting at the taxi rank. Ask one of them to take you to Newbold College, Binfield (2 miles). This should cost around £4.

If you need any further help when you arrive at Heathrow, there are information desks at all terminals.

From Gatwick Airport: (50 miles from the college)

Southwest Trains operates a service to Reading which leaves Gatwick Airport from the station at the South Terminal about every hour heading towards Reading.

Buy a “single ticket” to Wokingham. This will cost you from £11 to £20 depending on what time of day it is.

Length of journey is between 1 hour 20 minutes and 2 hours.

Alight at Wokingham and take a taxi to Newbold College, Binfield (3 miles). The taxi will cost you around £6.

From Heathrow Airport: £25 plus £3.50 parking
From Gatwick Airport: £42 plus £3.50 parking
From Stansted Airport: £75 plus £3.50 parking

The journey takes about 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport and 60 minutes from Gatwick Airport.

DIRECTIONS BY CAR:

From Heathrow Airport
Car hire stands at Heathrow will give you motorway (freeway) maps and tell you how to get onto the motorway.

Follow signs from Heathrow to motorway M4/M25.

Follow M4 westbound (don’t get on to the M25).

Exit M4 westbound at junction 10 after about 20 miles. This is the A329(M) to Bracknell, Wokingham and Reading. Follow signs to Bracknell/Wokingham.

Exit at next junction (signposted Bracknell/Wokingham) after about 3 miles.
End of sliproad has traffic lights before you can get onto the roundabout.
Take 1st (immediate) left off the roundabout signposted Binfield and John Nike Leisure Centre.

Drive straight on through the small roundabout (Coppid Beech Hotel and John Nike Leisure Centre on your right.) Beware of traffic from the right.
Turn left at the next traffic lights.

Newbold College is about 1/4 mile on the right.

From Gatwick Airport
At Gatwick Airport ask for directions to the M23 motorway (freeway). It is only 1 mile from the airport.

Take the M23 northbound towards London.

After about 8 miles follow the signs onto the M25 (the London orbital) in a clockwise (westbound) direction. Signs will point to Heathrow Airport.

After about 22 miles follow the signs onto the M3 westbound (ie NOT towards London). Do not continue along the M25.

After about 7 miles leave the M3 at junction 3, heading towards Bracknell.

As you enter Bracknell you will pass through a series of roundabouts. Keep on the dual-carriageway system (road number A322). After travelling about 15 miles from junction 3 on the M3, exit when you see signs towards Wokingham and the John Nike Leisure Centre. This is the large Coppid Beech roundabout. Take the third exit off towards Binfield and the John Nike Leisure Centre.

Drive straight on through the small roundabout (Coppid Beech Hotel and John Nike Leisure Centre on your right.) Beware of traffic from the right.
Turn left at the next traffic lights.

Newbold College is about 1/4 mile on the right.

From Luton Airport
At Luton Airport ask for directions to the M1 motorway (freeway). It is only 2-3 miles from the airport.

Take the M1 southbound towards London.

After about 10 miles follow the signs onto the M25 (the London orbital) in an anticlockwise (westbound) direction. Signs will point to Heathrow Airport.
After about 20 miles follow the signs onto the M4 westbound (ie NOT towards London). Do not continue along the M25.

Exit M4 westbound at junction 10 after about 20 miles. This is the A329(M) to Bracknell, Wokingham and Reading. Follow signs to Bracknell/Wokingham.

At Stanstead Airport ask for directions to the M11 motorway (freeway). It is only 1-2 miles from the airport.

Take the M11 southbound towards London.

After about 15 miles follow the signs onto the M25 (the London orbital) in an anticlockwise (westbound) direction. Signs will point to Heathrow Airport.
After about 40 miles follow the signs onto the M4 westbound (ie NOT towards London). Do not continue along the M25.

Exit M4 westbound at junction 10 after about 20 miles. This is the A329(M) to Bracknell, Wokingham and Reading. Follow signs to Bracknell/Wokingham.
