Due: ________________________________________

  1. Illustrate a scene. The medium can be your choice.

  2. Create a diorama of a scene.

  3. Develop a collage to represent a creature or concept in the novel.

  4. Design (and make?) a costume for one of the characters.

  5. Create a tangential (spin-off) story about a secondary character. Your story should start from, end in, or somehow bisect with the book's story.

  6. Write a journal for a major character.

  7. Create a collection of the Uglies.

  8. Draw a comic strip of part of one of the novels.

  9. Write part of the story from a secondary character's perspective. (a bad character, perhaps?)

  10. Write a critical review of the novel. (Several reviews, perhaps?)

  11. Make a model of the castle. Include a dungeon!

  12. Pick a scene that lends itself to dramatic presentation. Write a script and act it out with a group. You could perform for class or film your production and show it in class. (Talk with the teacher about ways of spreading the work load out equally.)

  13. Make an artifact (or two?) that has to do with the book.

  14. Make a gameboard reflecting the story. Develop all components so that it can actually be played.

  15. Make a model of a character and clothe the character appropriately. 3-D? Paperdoll?

  16. Digital image manipulation (GIMP)

  17. Write a story explaining how the Uglies came into the world.

  18. Create a mobile illustrating a concept in the novel.

  19. Make a movie of a scene.

  20. Create a crossword puzzle with clues from the story.

  21. Develop a treasure hunt that incorporates clues from the story text.

  22. Create and record (or perform) a song about the story.

  23. Create a new ending. Specify where your new ending starts, and then begin writing.

  24. Write Lina's story.

  25. Create a map of the town and surrounding areas.

  26. Write the grandmother's story.

  27. Create a grid drawing with geometric clues.
